Why we're called Atwater.

In the 1890s, chemist Wilbur Atwater built a room-sized machine to measure what food is worth to the body. His shortcut is still on every nutrition label: 4, 4 and 9. Go on, build a plate.

4
kcal per g protein
30 g
4
kcal per g carbs
60 g
9

Your plate: 495 kcal
30 x 4 + 60 x 4 + 15 x 9 = 495

Bring the band you already wear.

No new gadget. With Pro, Atwater reads what your watch or band already saves to Apple Health or Health Connect, then puts food, movement and rest side by side.

Questions, answered.

When can I get Atwater?

On 8 December 2026, on the App Store and Google Play. Join early access and we send one email with the link that day.

Does it know food from my part of the world?

Very likely. Atwater recognises 2,000+ dishes from kitchens everywhere: sushi, tacos, ramen, shakshuka, pad thai, biryani, pierogi and plenty more. If it misses one, correct it once and it remembers.

Do I need a fitness band?

No. Food logging and Fuel work on the phone alone. With Pro, a band adds Burn and Recovery through Apple Health or Health Connect.

How accurate are the numbers?

They are estimates, like any food label or tracker. You can always fix the dish or the portion, and Atwater remembers the foods you pick.

Is this medical advice?

No. Atwater helps you understand your habits. It does not diagnose or treat anything. Ask your doctor about medical questions.

Can I cancel Pro?

Any time, in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal and you won't be charged again.

Your plate is waiting.

Be first in line on 8 December. One email, the day we launch.
